Yatta! We did it! I think. I am both proud and honored to finally present to you our 100th episode. It's more or less a listener questions show, but a little more personal this time around. Also, Chad totally wrote a song especially for this occasion, and he totally sings it. I imagine it will change the course of human history. Other highlights include:

  • 100 episodes! Woot, etc.
  • Chad's morning routine
  • Hands-on PS3 Slim impressions
  • Chiptune re-entry by the mysterious Coffeesash
  • Chad Concelmo is straight up gangsta
  • Cereal business
  • You are so not ready for Chad's song
  • We <3 you
Again, thanks for listening. It's been a hundred episodes now and we're still amazed anyone actually listens to this. You can get the last episode of the season by subscribing to us on iTunes or the feed service of your choice, or you can grab it right over here. We're gonna take a few weeks off, but we'll be back before you know it for our third season. Maybe with some new features. Maybe a monkey. Or like, rocket launchers.

Happy not-quite-Friday, listeners. This week we recorded our audio commentary track for The Wizard. Hopefully you've been able to obtain a copy of the film, otherwise this is going to be the most boring and confusing episode you've ever listened to.

If you have, you can sync up with us after the first half of the podcast and watch the movie along with us, MST3K-style. Highlights this week include:

  • California
  • Califooorrnia
  • California?
  • Califooooooorrrrrnia
  • California
  • Dinosaurs!
Subscribe to us on iTunes for the early matinee, or download it here to watch it late, when the theater is full of noisy teenagers. We hope you enjoy. We'll be back next week for our final show of the season, which also happens to be our 100th episode.

Happy Friday, listeners! This week's episode is all about Super Metroid, and might also be the first time Chad and Dyson have discussed the topic together without arguing. Not a bad way to bring us toward the end of the season. Highlights include:

  • The ice cream cart returns
  • Sexy Poker ... yeah
  • BEEEEEEEEES
  • The tale of Hamza sucking
  • Backtracking: lazy or anything but?
  • The origin of immersion
  • Speedruns!

As always, subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show early, or check it out over here. Only two episodes remain before we wrap up our second season, but contrary to what the bullies on the playground have been telling you, we're not going anywhere.

We'll be taking a few weeks off after our 100th show, so you guys can catch up on any episodes you might have missed, and we can enjoy a little vacation. But we'll return before you know it, possibly with some new surprises. Oooh.

Happy Friday, listeners. This week we finally recorded our Final Fantasy VII episode, as this season's final installment of our Retro Limbo series. It's a long show, and it's packed full of talk about stuff like:

  • Chad Concelmo: Ice cream burglar
  • Spoilarz
  • Materia: best system ever
  • Why people are still cosplaying Sephiroth
  • Spinoffs: The good, the bad, and the Dirge of Cerberus
If you subscribe to us on iTunes, you've already heard it. If not, you can do so here. We'll catch you again next week.

With the ladies away at SDCC, Chad, Dyson, Conrad and I got together to record the manliest episode of RetroforceGO ever. If we'd planned it to happen this way, we could have done something super testosterone-driven, but instead we talked about pinball, because that's what was on the schedule. I guess that's still pretty manly when you think about it. Beefy highlights include:

  • Hot oil and headbands
  • Chad gets a special delivery
  • Hey look, PSN
  • Balls, flippers, rails, lights, plungers and noise
  • Chad's encounters with a true pinball wizard
  • The more crap it's got in it, the better
  • Conrad enlightens us on some neat tricks
If you really loved us you'd subscribe to us on iTunes. But if not, you can listen to the show here. I guess that would be fine, too. Enjoy, and check back next week, when we'll be discussing a game that will have most of you very, very excited.

Happy Friday, listeners. This week's episode was made up entirely of your questions, so if it's lame, it's totally your fault. And if it's awesome, then you should pat yourself on the back for being so good at coming up with interesting things for us to talk about. Also for being cute, because you are. Highlights this week include:

  • Atlus hard
  • ScienceforceGO!
  • Retro retro retro stop saying retro
  • You have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy
  • Unofficial game soundtracks
As always, you ca subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show early, or check it out here. We'll be back next week, ever closer to episode 100.

Happy Friday, listeners. While our show is never exactly what you'd call "safe for work," this episode is seriously NSFW. Conrad joined us this week, to discuss all the dirty, pervy things that game developers used to be able to get away with. Stuff like:

  • Beat 'em And Eat 'em
  • That's what she said
  • Boong-ga Boong-ga!
  • That's what she said
  • Sexy Parodius
  • Boobies, asses, dongs, vag00s, etc
  • Why is this stuff so shocking?
  • That's what she said
You can check it out right here to get the standard rubdown, or subscribe to us on iTunes for the full release, happy ending version. You perverts. Very special thanks once again to our beloved Coffeesash, who created the deliciously pornographic piece of music you'll hear in this episode.

Happy Friday, listeners. There was a bit of trouble getting the show uploaded this week, but thanks to the vigilance of Geraldo Beedog, all has turned out well. Thank you, sir. This week we were joined by one of our very favorite listeners, Naia-the-gamer, as we discussed Final Fantasy IV. That's Final Fantasy II if you played it on the SNES, because Square's favorite thing to do is confuse us with its haphazard numbering protocol.

Subject matter aside, this week's episode is special because it features lots of girls. You won't find that over at Podtoid. No sir. I'm talking about vaginas, folks -- as I often like to do -- and we're surrounded by 'em this week. So many in fact, that today's header image is crafted by our own Stella Wong, circa 1992. Lovely, isn't it? This week's girly highlights include:

  • Vaginas everywhere!
  • The Dragoon jump. 'Nuff said.
  • Spoilers. We've got 'em.
  • A big party is a happy party.
  • Chad demands ice cream.
You can check out the new episode right here, or subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show as early as possible. That is, unless you're some kind of cheauvanist pig who doesn't like girls.

Happy Friday, listeners. This week we discussed all the things that pleased and displeased us about this year's E3. We also laughed a lot and talked about pancakes, because that's in our job description. Fun fact for the RFGO edition of Trivial Pursuit. Highlights?

  • E3 = Work.
  • What does Dyson think of the new Metroid?
  • New Zelda: Not Wind Waker style.
  • Stop waving it, we don't wanna see it.
  • Bonus: if you listen closely, you can hear me facepalming.
  • Scribblenauts: Amazing.
As always, you can subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show early or go here to get it late. Way late. Like booted from the cool kids' table late. Enjoy, and we'll be back next week, one show closer to episode 100.

Happy Friday Saturday, listeners! Allow me first to apologize for the lateness of the show this week. Despite Geraldo Beedog's shocking accusations of scandal, the truth of the matter is that there was simply a bit of trouble uploading the file yesterday, and it really isn't any more interesting than that. But without further ado, highlights:

  • Colette's on a plane! For real!
  • What is a platformer?
  • Let's argue about it!
  • Pancakes. Don't make me do it.
  • Chad gives us a lesson in ergonomics
  • Double jump!
As always, you can subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show early, or you can check it out right here. We'll catch you again next week, hopefully on time.RetroforceGO!

Happy Friday, listeners! This week Anthony Burch joined us to discuss zombies, and what sort of instruments we'd like to use to kill him in the even that he bcomes one. Or how he'd like to kill us. Or why killing zombies in general is so much fun. Highlights include:

  • RFGO episode 90: Total Sh*tty
  • Thanks, Google image search
  • Romero vs Raimi
  • Dear diary, today I died ...
  • Candygram
  • Zombies = potential. GET ON IT.
As always, you can check out the new episode right here, or subscribe to us on iTunes to get it early. Enjoy, and we'll catch you next week.

Happy Fri ... er, Wednesday, listeners! This week we recorded a bit early, so hopefully our yammering will help accellerate the arrival of your Friday. Or at the very least, make up for the lack of a Podtoid this week, which I can safely say you are better off without in this paticular instance. The horror ... I can still taste it ... Anyway, yes, highlights:

  • Dyson does the finest pirate impression a ninja can do
  • Colette hates on Soda Popinski
  • Carl Winslow!
  • Punch-Out!! Wii: Maybe? You like, yes?
  • Parsley Boots is now a meme
If you subscribe to us on iTunes, you got the show way super early this week. Like woah. If not, I guess you can go over here and get it, but you atill won't be as cool as the people who heard it already. Enjoy, and we'll be back next week with the next in our Retro Limbo series!

Happy Friday, listeners! Since the rest of the cast was away this week, Chad and I decided that, rather than skip the show altogether, we'd just record our own episode about whatever the hell we wanted. What we wanted was an episode about the Muppets. Not Muppets games, not videogames that the Muppets could possibly star in, just a show about the f*cking Muppets. So that's what we did.

Anthony Burch joined us for the second half, because he is wise and also loves the Muppets. So much for our promise of less mayhem this week. Oh well. As always, you can check us out on iTunes, or get the new episode right here. We'll be back next week, maybe with less mayhem. I don't feel comfortable making that promise anymore. Enjoy!

Happy Friday, listeners! This week was the second in our hardware series, in which we discussed peripherals. And then ... well, you can take a listen for yourself. Everything sort of spiralled into madness. We crashed the show into a busy port town and killed a couple people, but overall it came out okay. Maybe.

  • Cupcakes everywhere
  • Our favorite peripherals
  • Our least favorite peripherals
  • Anonymous noob
  • Cataract
  • Samit
  • Agent Moo
  • Anthony Burch
  • Everything goes down in flames
If nothing else, it's certainly one of the most interesting shows we've ever done. We promise everything will be more or less back to normal next week. This is one you kinda just have to hear for yourself. Get it early on iTunes, or check it out right here. See you next week!
